House rules
Chalet Peter is non smoking.
Please keep noise to a minimum after 10.30pm because our neighbours are lovely friendly people and we’d like them to stay that way!
Please park any vehicles outside Chalet Peter.
The Austrians are environmentally aware, please abide by the recycling system that will be explained to you on arrival.
As the house has under floor heating, providing warmth for your feet, it would be appreciated if outdoor shoes could be removed when entering the house. This will prevent scratches and scuffs to the wooden floors. It’s another Austrian custom!
If you light the fire to the Austrian oven, be certain not to close the door until the flames die down, otherwise it might explode!
Transfers and transportation
Clients are responsible for making their own arrangements for travel and transfer but we can help with the transfer if asked.
The chalet is 10 minutes drive from the Arrietbahn lift station at Zell am See.
Although you can leave your skis and boots in a locker at the lift station and get the ski bus, which stops on the main road below the chalet it is about a 300metre walk.
A taxi to the lift will cost around 12 euros.
It is not essential to hire a car (or people carrier for a large group) but it is advisable, especially if you pick it up from Salzburg airport. You will then have your transfer to the Chalet sorted, transport to all of the many ski areas as well as to the local supermarkets and shops. Useful on a self catering holiday.
Insurance
We cannot accept liability for injury, accident or death whilst holidaying in Austria and staying at Chalet Peter.
It is advisable to obtain an E111 form prior to departure or EU reciprocal medical care.
Do check your holiday insurance for skiing including off piste.
